Weight Loss - Food

by Thea Mangels
One of my wellness goals is weight-loss. Here are a few simple tips that I have found helpful, that you might find helpful too, if weight-loss is one of your goals also.

Food:

- Drink one full glass of water 30 minutes before a meal, and a second glass of water just before your meal. This not only helps with hydration, but it fills you up, helping with appetite control. (You can also substitute Greens for the second glass of water, and then you are getting 8 servings of veggies in addition to the benefit of the water to start your meal.)
- Drink hot tea (unsweetened decaffeinated green or herbal) just before or with your meal. The warm liquid will help fill you up, which will help with appetite control.
- Use a small plate, rather than a dinner plate when you prepare your meal.
- Make sure that one half of your plate is veggies for each meal.
- Start the day with a Green Smoothie or (Greens from It Works) – to give yourself a head start on eating enough fruits and vegetables each day.
- Eat smaller portions more often.
