One of my wellness goals is weight-loss. Here are a few simple tips that I have found helpful, that you might find helpful too, if weight-loss is one of your goals also.
Attitude:
- I am not going to lose the 10 to 15 pounds that are my total goal in one day, so I need to keep reality in focus.
- A positive attitude goes a long way for most of life, including your weight-loss goal.
- If I keep with it, and generally eat well, and include exercise in my daily routine, I refuse to feel guilty when I “cheat.” Guilt is not healthy, and it will only bring me down.
- Instead of feeling guilty when I eat something that isn’t really healthy, my goal is to have a particularly healthy eating day the next day (and maybe the one after that).
- Don’t focus on what you don’t want/don’t like, focus on what you are doing to make a change, and on what you like about your life and your body, and your healthy lifestyle.
