This year I am again making small wellness resolutions, rather than a grand plan. I wrote about this same subject last January, but I think it bears repeating. (You can see the previous article here: www.norcalepiscopal.org/wellness-resolutions.)
I know that in the past, I have made New Year’s Resolutions about exercising every day, or losing a huge amount of weight. Along with a large portion of the American population, I gave up on those resolutions before January even ended.

My resolution that I am starting first is to incorporate green Profit smoothies into my life as an afternoon snack – I started drinking green smoothies last year because after catching the flu, I just didn’t feel like I was recovering all the way. So, I did a little research – then I bought some kale, a pineapple, and some spinach, and started blending my way to more energy. It helped me feel better, and healthier. I have moved, and I discovered that I am often super hungry by the time I finish my long commute home - too hungry for grocery shopping or a long dinner prep. SO, I am going to make my green Profit smoothies the night before, pop them in the freezer overnight, bring them to work with me and put them in the fridge until about 4:00. Then I will drink it before my drive home. I will have energy for grocery shopping and a workout when I get home. :)
Another small step that I am making in this new year is a commitment to return to exercise. My new home has a dance room in it, and I have now got a space for my ballet barre with a hardwood floor and space to use it! I am so excited to begin using this regularly again. I am also so much closer to my family, and my mother has promised to be my walking partner. So, I am planning to take a walk and/or do a simple barre routine as a minimum exercise each day.
One very exciting wellness resolution is joining It Works Global. My friend, Jen, has been working with them for a while, and she shared with me her excitement over this wellness company. I am very excited to continue my new journey with her. I will be going to my first Conference in January, and I am sure I'll be learning a lot. I’m sure that if you keep reading my blog, you’ll hear more about this journey as it unfolds. I have loved the products and people I have worked with so far from It Works, and incorporating the vitamins and supplements into my daily routine. Please let me know if you are interested in hearing about these fabulous products, or exploring becoming a part of this wellness team.
