You can participate in the challenge however you wish. I am taking time each day to reflect on what I am grateful for. Others are creating gratitude journals, making art, creating a photo album... as I said, whatever helps you focus on gratitude is the right way to participate.
Each day, as we focus on what we are thankful for, we change the way we look at things. This can be a very powerful experience. I have a friend who wrote in a gratitude journal for a month long exercise - that was 10 years ago, she still writes nearly every day.
